CPCB has released certain amendments in the guidelines of EPR of Plastic Packaging from centralised EPR portal. The following amends in the guidelines shall reduce the difficulties/ hurdles while applying for EPR by Producer & PWP/recyclers.
i)The validity date of EPR registration allotted to Plastic Waste processor (PWP) has been extended by one year.
ii)There is no provision of renewal required for the EPR registration allotted to Producers.
iii)The registered Producers after receiving EPR certificate in FY 22-23 shall file their Annual return by 31st Oct 2023 via online EPR portal, failing to which Environmental compo session (EC) shall be levied on applicant.
iv)Plastic waste producer (PWP) or recyclers registered in EPR portal in FY 22-23 shall file their annual return by 31st July 2023, failing to which Environmental compo session (EC) shall be levied on applicant.
