The National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (ANATEL) issued public consultation No. 60 on the Operational Procedure for Telecommunications Product Approval by Declaration of Conformity on October 31, 2023.
The applicable devices are telecommunications equipment designed for personal use only (Amateur Radio, Citizen’s Radio, Maritime Mobile, Aeronautical Mobile, and Satellite Communication Services). There are two requirements for seeking approval:
Declaration of Conformity approval in the absence of a test report
The conformity assessment may be carried out through a Declaration of Conformity, without the presentation of a test report or certification granted to the product abroad, for equipment proven to be produced by hand and with no commercial purpose, or for equipment intended for amateur radio service manufactured prior to 1982.
